Laudo is a community-based local business recommendation app built for trusted friend networks. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
Laudo is operated by Giancarlo ("we," "us," or "our"). By using Laudo, you agree to the practices described below.

How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to provide and improve the Laudo experience. Specifically, we use it to display business recommendations from your friends and communities, enable friend connections and messaging, send push notifications about relevant activity, show nearby businesses based on your location, and maintain the safety and integrity of the platform through content moderation.
Third-Party Services
Laudo uses the following third-party services to operate:

These services may process your data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission and require authenticated access for all API requests. Profile photos are stored in secure cloud storage with access controls.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can delete your account directly within the app under Settings, which permanently removes all your data including ratings, threads, messages, and friend connections. This action cannot be undone.

Location Data
Laudo requests access to your device location to show nearby businesses and calculate distances. Your precise location is used on-device and sent to Google Places API for business searches. We do not store your location history or track your movements.
Children's Privacy
Laudo is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our .edu email requirement inherently limits access to users affiliated with educational institutions.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. Your continued use of Laudo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
